FREE UK BANK/LENDER DEBT DISPUTE ADVICE
HELP TO RESOLVE DEBT COMPLAINTS & DISPUTES WITH UK LENDERS (BANKS,
BUILDING SOCIETIES & FINANCE COMPANIES) INCLUDING LIAISING WITH
OMBUDSMAN/ARBITRATOR & SOLICITORS.
DEBTWISE is a FREE, altruistic, practical advice service to assist individuals, partnerships, small businesses, and limited companies who have a dispute regarding lender's actions that appear unjustified. It is an interest set up by a retired Bank Manager with over 30 years experience in banking, debt recovery, and debt counselling with both sides of the sector seen. Banking experience also covered dealing with customer lending complaints at a regional level, therefore those standards are used in communicating with lenders. All enquiries are dealt with in a positive, practical and pro-active manner.
Banks, Finance Companies, and Building Societies do take actions, which cannot be justified and unless the action is defended then this can have a significant impact on the customer. DEBTWISE can under NO circumstances offer Legal advice, which can only be given by a qualified solicitor, but every effort will be made to give practical help to Clients who feel they require assistance. Letters can be drafted for Clients if they wish to contact the Lender themselves or DEBTWISE can act on behalf of the client. The aim is always to produce and effective commercial outcome.
For advice please e.mail to email@example.com. On the information given an Assessment and recommendation will be made. All advice is without liability. It will then be up to the client to decide whether to seek further help from DEBTWISE. The aim of the service is to provide free help people treated badly by lenders. Any links are intended to be helpful to provide information. .
WHY FREE? YOU MIGHT SAY! During my time as a bank debt recovery manager I got fed up of bank clients being given bad advice causing hassle for the bank, and client. It is hard to get advice from the CAB or any other free service about the practicalities of dealing with banks or other lenders. I try and use my experience plus internet research to help those in need. DEBTWISE is an interest NOT a business. There is no office, no advertising, no income, although where expenses are incurred on behalf of those needing help, then that will be a matter for discussion. I am unable to spare the time to deal with any direct help on areas where there is plenty of free advice (PPI Claims, Bank Charge refunds, where there is a mass of information of making claims without charge). I do not help anyone whose intention is to make a spurious claim. Any help is provided at my discretion.
Reference to 'Client' : The aim of DEBTWISE is to try and assist. It is up to the individual to decide how any approach should be made. Where DEBTWISE becomes directly involved (with authority) then in order to be professional it is best that the word 'client' is used.
You have found this site by fate (well probably Google!). What you do is up to you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL INFORMATION IS PROVIDED WITHOUT ANY LIABILITY ON THE PART OF DEBTWISE
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ANYONE WHO HAS A COMPLAINT THEY WISH TO PROGRESS, OBTAIN A 'DATA SUBJECT ACCESS REPORT' UNDER THE DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998 (THE NORMAL CHARGE IS £10) FROM THE LENDER. THIS FILE HELPS CONSIDERABLY IN MAKING AN ASSESSMENT AND THE LENDER SHOULD PROVIDE COPIES OF ANY ALLEGED LEGAL AGREEMENTS.
DEBTWISE HAS NO CONNECTION WITH CLAIM MANAGEMENT COMPANIES.
